General Information
The First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University is a leading comprehensive Grade-A tertiary hospital, integrating clinical care, medical education, research, prevention, and public health emergency response. As one of China’s first standardized training bases for resident physicians, we are recognized for our clinical excellence, broad disciplinary strength, and specialized services.
Established in 1941, we operate three campuses with a total floor area of 514,100㎡ and 2536 beds. It employs 6,536 staff members, including 781 senior professionals. We are home to 8 National Clinical Key Specialty Construction Projects, 1 National Pilot Program, and 36 Provincial Specialty Projects, supported by 77 clinical and medical technology departments and 248 specialized outpatient clinics.
We handle up to 16,000 outpatient and emergency visits per day. In 2025, we recorded 4.003 million outpatient and emergency visits, 206,000 discharges, and 89,000 surgical procedures.
